Amazon.com is looking for exceptional students interested in software development to join our growing technology organization as summer interns. Internships are available across our development team, with groups working on everything from forecasting systems to recommendation technologies; from GUI development to database systems. Candidates must have strong fundamental knowledge of software design, coding (C/C++, Java on UNIX platform), relational databases, and quality assurance. Previous intern experience building production software strongly preferred. Technical people with a passion for creating a fantastic customer/end user experience encouraged to apply. Requires degree concentration in engineering, computer science or math (or related technical discipline). Internship duration is approximately three months, primarily during the summer (start and end date, flexible). Students interested in an internship during other times of the year are encouraged to apply and indicate their availability. These internships are focused for undergraduate students with an expected graduation date of 2001 (Junior to Senior) or graduating seniors going on to graduate school.

We will set-up your housing in advance so that you spend your time focused on the right things – jumping into work and exploring Seattle. We will subsidize 50% of your total housing costs for the duration of your internship. And we will also match you with a roommate.
Amazon.com will provide you with roundtrip airfare, reimburse your taxi service to and from the airport for your arrival and departure, and give you a free bus pass for the Seattle area.
