Hiring Plans for Graduate Students
The Computer Science departments of IBM Research at the Almaden
Research Center (California), the Austin Research Lab (Texas), and the
Thomas J. Watson Research Center (New York) are seeking graduate
students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Operations Research, and Mathematics, for full time
research or postdoc positions, as well as Summer internships. We seek
candidates interested in pursuing an exciting career or summer of
research, prototyping, and exploring new frontiers of computer science
and computer engineering. Ideal candidates will have a strong
background in research as well as a demonstrated interest in applying
their research to practical issues in computing. Candidates will have
the opportunity to work with an outstanding research team on problems
that range from the leading edge of theory to concrete problems of
real users. Candidates for permanent or postdoc positions should have
a Ph.D. or be within 12-24 months of completing their degree.
