Nokia IP Routing

Nokia's IP Routing business unit specializes in Internet Protocol (IP) router platforms, with products ranging from high-performance routers to affordable internet security products. Nokia IP Routing started out as Ipsilon Networks, the startup who pioneered IP Switching before being acquired by Nokia. Nokia is the Finnish maker of wireless telecommunications equipment and mobile phones, with a market capitalization of $223 billion.

The Nokia IP Routing unit has about 200 employees, and is located in Silicon Valley. It retains the "small company" feel of a startup, while enjoying the advantages of solid economic backing from its corporate parent. Since our acquisition, we are growing and actively seeking people for the Routing, Kernel, Network Management, Advanced Hardware, Third-Party Applications Group, and QA groups. The routing group is responsible for developing the routing protocols (e.g., RIP, OSPF, BGP) used in our products. The kernel group develops the operating system infrastructure necessary to enable high performance routing. The network management group provides tools to facilitate the remote configuration and management of our routers. Our advanced hardware group is focusing on ASIC-based solutions for accelerating internet connectivity and security. Finally, the quality assurance group works closely with all other groups, developing and running complex test suites to ensure our products perform as required.

We are growing like mad, and we need more enthusiastic and bright people. If you are ready for exciting technical challenges in a great team environment, building the infrastructure for the next generation Internet, come talk to us. http://www.iprg.nokia.com/
