The loading dock has two entrances, one for people, and one for trucks. The “People” door access is through your card-key and all CSE faculty, staff, graduate & undergraduate students will have authorization to use this door for access to the bike room and the Undergraduate Labs.

The “truck” gate will be used for large deliveries. The delivery person will use the phone to call reception in CSE or EE. The receptionist will notify the appropriate staff (e.g. lab staff if it’s an equipment delivery), and open the gate.

We anticipate only large deliveries will use the loading dock. It’s a long walk from the loading dock to any offices! If UPS has a hand truck with a few boxes, they’ll probably park on Benton Lane and deliver to the department’s reception area.

If you need to park your car near the building to unload items, you can use the load/unload parking spaces in the turn out areas on Stevens Way. This is temporary parking only, usually limited to 30 minutes or less and you must have a valid UW Parking Permit displayed. You can depend on UW Parking Enforcement to give you a ticket if you stay too long!
