In Sieg Hall many people kept personal plants, perhaps as a way to balance the beauty of Sieg Hall with the ugliness of nature. Even though the Allen Center is much more beautiful, with wonderful views in almost every direction, we fully expect (and hope!) that lots of people will continue to have plants in their offices -- brand new offices with fine wood detail and furnishings!
You are definitely encouraged to make your space a comfortable place that reflects your personal taste. At the same time, we need to protect our new space for years to come. So, you are expected to supply all personal plants with water and moisture barriers to protect desktops, file cabinets, tables and floor surfaces from pot leaks, over-watering and condensation. CSE will make these supplies available to you upon request. Please take additional precautions to protect wood surfaces! Thanks!
