The Computer Science & Engineering Executive Committee shall act as the "advisory appointment committee" [Section 24-52, UW Faculty Code] for the following non-voting faculty titles ONLY: adjunct faculty, affiliate faculty, teaching associates, visiting faculty, visiting scholars, research associates, and part-time faculty. The voting faculty as a whole shall continue to serve as the "advisory appointment committee" for all voting faculty appointments, in particular tenure-line, WOT, and research faculty positions.

[Note: The expectation is that the Executive Committee will consult with the overall faculty for adjunct and affiliate faculty appointments and for any other appointments that the Committee deems to be potentially controversial.]
