Catalog description
Parallel architectures, algorithms, and languages for image processing. Cellular array, pipelined and pyramid machines, instruction sets, and design issues. Parallel implementations of filtering, edge detection, segmentation, shape, stereo, motion, relaxation algorithms, multiresolution methods, and iconic-to-symbolic transforms. Students write and debug programs for parallel computers.
