This applet demonstrates the functionality required for the J2 applet. Note that a transparency setting of about 90% or more is required to really get a good transparent effect. Please make improvements to this interface -- it's pretty darn basic. Also, the transparency and smudge tool effects could be improved. Play around with them and experiment until you get an effect that you like.
