Project -> RebuildAll
1. Starting Server (Model)
- Make sure you are starting the server from a machine that does NOT run
VMWare. You can identify it by looking at the number of network connection
icons in the system tray, which is usually on the lower right corner of the
monitor. If you have only one network connection icon, then the machine is
OK to run the server.
Normally,
the monitors with a sticker on top saying
"This machine has special software required by the CSE451 course..."
means that
the machine is running VMWare.
- Run update_stub_files.bat file
located inside the DemoProject directory. This file should be run
inside the directory it is in : DemoProject.
This file
needs to be run every time there is a change in ModelRMI and
CabConsoleImplementation.
Otherwise,
just run this file once, even if you restart the server several times.
- Run setup_rmi_model_server.bat
file located inside the DemoProject directory. This file should be run
inside the directory it is in : DemoProject.
It will
pop up a shell window ( we will call this server window ).
- When the server starts, MapperUI pops up. Enter coordinates.
ex: x_upper right :
100 x_lower
left : 20
y_upper right :
70
y_lower left : 30
- After entering coordinates, click on the blank region in the middle to
create zones. (you have to click at least once).
- Click on save.
* If you see database connection errors on the server
window, just close and restart the server.
2. Starting DispatcherUI
- The server must be running beforehand.
