Project 3:

My first Image:

To get the 'curved' appearance of the tunnel roof I chose 'strips' of polygons that marched down the hallway like a barrel...

'course the tunnel gets dark quickly and this effect is completely lost... :(

The result:

Second try:

After over two-dozen attempts (think I'm kidding...) using the solution executable and having the program crash repeatedly whenever I attempted to generate the .wrl file - I gave up.

Here is the original photo:

And the mapped image.

Note the two irregular polygons for the lower drawbridge and the ice-buffer in front of the right tower.

I maintain that this would have looked 'really cool' in either of the viewers...once I'd removed the bridge from the skyline and smoothed the harbor out of the water...

Extensions if I had more time?  More time?  More time?? !!! hee hee!

Rewriting the solution code so that it doesn't crash - or at least has the common courtesy to tell you why.  Fix it so that you can UNDO an accidental coordinate assignment!

Rewrite the instructions so that they actually give one an idea of how to use the program assuming that one has heard of prospective geometry for all of one week at the time one reads it...:)
