Movie Files for Testing

The purpose of this optional activity is to generate real data that you can use to test your MovieReader with.

Files that have been submitted will all be found here. Eventually, anyway. Files marked "checked" have been given at least a minimal inspection for correct format. Files marked "unchecked" haven't had that inspection. You can use the Message Board to post your own opinions or results of testing the files.

You can copy the files to your computer to test with. If you are on-line, the MVFieldReader can also open the files directly over the Internet. In that case, the parameter to MVFieldReader should be a full URL string, for example "http://www.cs.washington.edu/education/courses/cse142/04sp/coursework/projects/p4/moviefiles/checked/mvShort.txt"

If you wish to submit a file, review this e-mail explaining how to name the files, format requirements, etc. The deadline is Saturday at 10:00 pm. This is so that the data will be available to use well before the assignment itself is due. Some TAs may have given you an alternate procedure for submitting files, which you can follow instead. It's not necessary to do it both ways (unless your TAs says differently).
