CSE 142: Computer Programming I

Course Description: Basic programming-in-the-small abilities and concepts. Highlights include procedural and functional abstraction with simple built-in data type manipulation. Basic abilities of writing, executing, and debugging programs.

• [12/18] Grades are now posted. Check your UW email for more information.
• [12/15] Critter tournament stuff: I finally posted the student Husky classes online so that you can run them and see how yours does against them. There's one last new version of CritterMain.java you can download, and now when you choose Load From Web it has all the Huskies from this quarter, anonymized with numbers instead of names. Here are the tournament results from both sections. Quick summary: In Section A, the top four were #139, #053, #253 and #079. In Section B, they were #275, #211, #108, and #260. If you want to know your Husky number, email Marty and I'll let you know.
• [12/15] Final exam scores are now visible on MyUW. Overall course grades will be posted soon.

  The final exam scores will not be curved. Information about the average scores, how to pick up your final exam, and how to get a final exam regrade are posted in the Exams section.
