I must second this observation: average time between crashes of synario:
15 minutes. Getting this assignment done is difficult. I am told by my
neighbor that Synario and NT 4.0 are oil and water, with known bugs
between them and that someone somewhere is working on it...
Can anyone at support confirm this?... what are the prospects for fixes?

Synario is buggy with any revision of NT. Most of the same problems
have been occuring for the past year on 3 revisions of NT.
Larry McMurchie has been actively pursuing the Synario problems
with DataI/O and has been assured of an improved release sometime
Winter Quarter. We in support have had very little input into the
DataI/O communications concering these problems.
As for some of the other NT related problems that some of you have
experienced.. We are trying a new method remote distribution management
for all 3 PC labs this quarter. We are working out some bugs in
the pcrdist method. Thanks to students reporting we are able to
debug the problems and add fixes as we determine them.
Please continue to send reports of problems so that we remain
aware of how things are going.
