Announcements

  • Our Final Exam will be held at 8:30am, Mon Dec 8th in our regular lecture room. Here is some info that may help in your preparations. I will provide a copy of the green card from our text book for you to use during the exam.
  • If you have further comments about the course feel free to send me an email (anonymous or otherwise) and you can still add them to this mid quarter feedback survey. (Thanks for the feedback already received here!)
  • Midterms have been graded and returned. A sample solution can be found here. The exam had a total of 82 points (avg = 62.72, std = 11.84).

We will use the course mailing list created by catalyst for cse 378 this quarter. If you are signed up for the course, then you are automatically on this list! Course staff will use this list for sending out important announcements to the class. For general discussion, please make use of the catalyst message board listed to the left.

  • Please be sure that you get the REVISED PRINTING of the 3rd edition of our text book. The plain old 3rd edition will work, but be aware that it had quite a few bugs. Official errata for the 3rd edition is here (although this not complete, the green card in particular has a few more differences).
