1. First, I started with an image of a lava river and an image of a scuba diver. |

2. Then, using my IScissor tool, I created three separate masks of the scuba diver, because there were three non-touching areas of the image that needed to be isolated from the background. |

3. I used Photoshop to combine the three masks into one. |

4. Then, in Photoshop, I applied the mask to the scuba diver image. This masked layer was dropped on top of the lava background layer. |

5. Finally, I rotated and scaled the foreground image. I applied a slight blur to the scuba diver, decreased its saturation a little, boosted up its yellow color balance, and added just a touch of uniform noise to match the lava image. |
