The scene consists of triangle mesh in the form of a cluster
of crystals below a floating, cracked heart-shaped pair of crystals.

Each crystals differ slightly in its diffuse value, but each has a refractive index of 2.

There is an fully transparent ellipsoid surrounding the scene, with no diffuse.
This is the source of the circular effects and seemingly floating objects
in the background.

The floor is a transparent & diffuse box which extends well below the bottom of the screen.

Rendered with 8x8 jittered anti-aliasing and glossy reflections. Rays are 8 levels deep.
There are 2 directional and 2 spot lights (the same light setup as sculpt.ray)

The distortion in the right-most crystal is caused by abberations in the surface geometry,
as I was trying to immitate some of the features of quartz crystals I had when I was
growing up.


The crystals were modeled using maya, and then exported as .obj, and then manually converted to the .ray file format. The crystal faces were created using boolean subtracts.

Render time: about 8 hours on 5-6 computers.
