Modeling critique by each group in turn -- group leader briefly talks about the overall project, then individual members go through each object they modeled, focusing on how they approached it, what were the difficulties they had, etc.

General comments on modeling by Barbara & Darrek:

It's important not only to do a good job of modeling, but also to be able to analyze the work itself -- knowing when to continue or stop working on sth, what you want or will be able to achieve, etc.

Having the scene or animation planned ahead, e.g. sketching out the scene beforehand or planning the path of the shot, helps organize the actual process of building and minimize the amount of work involved.

There can be many different ways of building the same object, and it's partly a matter of using the tool and partly a matter of personal preference.

Starting over from scratch when you run into problems is inevitable and is in fact an important skill to learn. It actually saves more time to do so even when you're already pretty far into the process.

A few remarks on group projects:

Try to talk about the overall process with your group and find what works best for you (or your group).

Assign priorities or importance on different tasks. Write down goals.

Try to think about both technical and aesthetic aspects.
