CSE458: Turn-in instructions

In order to turn in your files, you will need access to the production servers we use for class. There are a few ways of accessing these servers, but these instructions will only cover the one most useful way. Keeping your files named properly will become increasingly important over the coming weeks, so pay attention to naming. The following instructions only cover how to access the turn-in folders from the animation lab in Seig 325.

Step by Step:

  1. Go to: Start>Run
  2. Enter: \\ntdfs\cs\unix\projects\instr\production3\cse458_au08_turn_in
This will pop open a window to the turn in folder.
  3. Enter the folder corresponding to the project which you will be turning in.
  4. Make a folder for your turn-in. Name it like this: lastname_firstname. As the year goes on it will become increasingly important not to use caps.
  5. Put your files in this folder, also named with your name, last name first then put an underscore with some meaningful name (like project1 or yacht).

So for an example, I've saved an example file at:
\\ntdfs\cs\unix\projects\instr\production3\cse458_au08_turn_in\project1\kleven_koos\kleven_koos_proj1.mb

And yes, my first name is Koos.
