Instructor note: This book is the #1 VLSI text worldwide,
and is considered by many to be *the* standard for VLSI design. Many parts
of the book are clear and concise, and make for easy reading. However,
some sections of the text are confusing and unnecessarily complex (especially
for an introductory class), and are quite difficult to read. So if you
find yourself confused by some of the material, you probably are in good
company. Come to lecture, and we will try to clarify everything.
