    Catalog Description: Methods for identifying valid, novel, useful, and understandable patterns in data. Induction of predictive models from data: classification, regression, and probability estimation. Discovery of clusters and association rules.
Prerequisites: either STAT 341, STAT 391, or equivalent, or permission of instructor.
