The Aphasia Project
The Aphasia Project is a multi-disciplinary research project investigating how technology can be designed to support individuals with aphasia in their daily life. Aphasia is an acquired cognitive disorder that affects a person's ability to speak, read, and write as well as understand spoken words. We are using a participatory design approach to explore hand-held based applications that combine images, text, and sound. In addition to providing an overview of the Aphasia Project, this talk describes the results of a recent studies related to a sound and image enhanced daily planner.
