My protein A - methylmalonyl-CoA decarboxylase, subunit alpha found in
Halobacterium species NRC-1 is thought to aid in Lipid transport and
metabolism. Protein B - propionyl Coenzyme A carboxylase, beta
polypeptide found in humans aids in metabolism of amino acids and is a
produced by the oxidation of fatty-acids. So at the very least we can
happily conclude that both these proteins aid in the metabolic
process. Next we notice the mention of Lipids and fatty-acids. I'm
certainly not an expert in the field but I realize that the two are at
least similar and having done a bit of research it appears that Lipids
are synthesized from fatty-acids. This leads me to believe that it is
entirely possible that the two share functions with regard
specifically to fatty-acids and lipids but I was unable to find a
reference confirming this hypothesis.
