Our efforts at distance education have been largely driven by the goals of our Professional Masters Program, an evening degree program for which high accessibility is one of the top bullets of the charter.  For this program we combine fully interactive video teleconferencing with live and on-demand streamed media to provide a menu of options which allow our students to receive educational content with fewer constraints to time and place.

We have benefitted from our association with Microsoft Research Learning Sciences and Technology group, and in particular from collaboration on projects surrounding MSR's Conference XP.  Conference XP uses Internet 2 infrastructure, and the .Net platform to implement a distributed classroom environment, including low latency audio and video, and PowerPoint with tablet annotations.  Several of our projects have augmented this platform.

Another driving force for the exploration of content production and delivery has been our Tutored Video Instruction project.  For this project we produced packaged digital multimedia lectures for delivery to community colleges.
