Trying to register for a full CSE course?

Some CSE majors courses fill up quickly, and CSE advisers receive requests each quarter from students who want to enroll in these closed courses. We try to accomodate as many requests as possible, sometimes by overloading students into full courses.

We make decisions overloading classes after everyone has had a chance to register and enrollment is more stable. We will consider factors including when you plan to graduate and when your desired class may be offered again.

If you have questions about the Overload Request form, alternate courses to consider, or schedule planning, please contact a CSE adviser.

The Winter 2010 overload request form for is now open for 300 level CSE majors' courses. The form will open for 400 level courses on Dec. 3rd

For non-CSE courses:

The Gateway Center for Undergrad Advising provides tips and specific departmental information for getting into closed courses. For most courses, checking the time schedule for openings is your best chance of getting a space.
