Here you will find resources to help you navigate your way through the curriculum for a degree in Computer Science or a degree in Computer Engineering.

Sample Course Plans
The sample course plans help you see what a "typical" four-year college schedule might look like for students interested in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Please note that transfer courses, AP credits, Running Start, double majors, minors, or other individual circumstances can and will alter the way students might work their way through these majors.

Computer Science sample course plan
Computer Engineering sample course plan

The sample course plans for Computer Science and Computer Engineering are intended more as examples and individual students are strongly encouraged to consult with an academic advisor to monitor their progress toward application to the major and toward graduation.

Course Sequencing Worksheets
Course sequencing worksheets show suggested courses for pathways through the department and demonstrate how the CSE curriculum works together. By following the flow charts for the Computer Science and Computer Engineering majors, students get a visual representation of how to sequence their courses and which courses serve as prerequisites for other coursework.

Course Planning by Career Paths

We have also consulted with our Industry Affiliates to create course suggestions based on various career paths. The list is not comprehensive, but includes many job types that our students eventually move into after graduating. Course Planning Advice for Career Paths
