Teaching Philosophy

I am passionate about teaching. During my graduate school and post-doc I have taught undergraduate and graduate level classes and have also mentored undergraduate and graduate students. I look forward to carrying forward my teaching and mentoring experience to be a motivating teacher.

Teaching Experience

 

At University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

ME 395: Mechanical Engineering Labs, Winter 2005

In-charge of 3 lab sections with around 15 students in each section,

Conducted weekly labs sessions and graded weekly lab reports and quizzes

 

ME 540: Intermediate Dynamics, Fall 2004

Primary responsibility was to hold more than 10 hrs office hours each week

Helped with designing homework and exams, also, exam and quiz grading.

 

At University of Massachusetts, Amherst

Intro to Math, Fall 2000 & Spring 2001

In-charge of 2 batches of around 35 students each, held weekly recitations

Graded weekly homework and quizzes; and also mid-term and final exams.

 

ME 402: Mechanical Engineering Labs II, Fall 1999 & Spring 2000

Conducted weekly labs sessions and graded weekly lab reports and quizzes

Overall in-charge of the final grades of 45 odd students for 3 sections
