I enjoy exploring my surroundings and having exciting adventures. I like to hike, camp, backpack, take photographs, sail, go rock climbing, and my interest is piqued by anything that might suggest "living on the edge." I've jumped out of at least one airplane at 14,000 feet.
I regularly sail as a member of the Washington Yacht Club, a fancy-sounding name for a student-run club at UW which maintains an impressive fleet of boats for student use. I primarily sail in a Laser, FJ, or 470, but can be convinced to try any other boat we've got too. I'm looking for a buddy who wants to learn 505 or I14 sailing with me.
If you want to sail with me, go rock climbing (at the IMA or elsewhere), or hike around and take photos, shoot me an email!
Music soothes the soul of even the savage beast. My tastes run the gamut, from rock to jazz to rap and country. I'll listen to anything at least once. I love live music shows of virtually any sort. In my spare time, I play electric guitar and am always open to jam mates. Always willing to help me annoy the neighbors, my friends bought me a djembe to explore my more rhythmic side with.
Boilerplate Autobiography: I grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA. At 18 I left the ancestral manor to attend Cornell University, where I studied computer science, got in various forms of trouble, engaged in worthwhile pursuits, joined a fraternity, and had a damned good time overall. Apparently, though, you have to "graduate" at some time or another, and since then I've been in Seattle, WA, doing more-or-less the same, except now they pay me a stipend.
