So many things have happened since the last update. The most important is that now I'm a big sister to Kasper, my cute little brother. You'll find many pictures of me on his site too.
I'm now a ballet dancer and a gymnist. I am graduating very very soon from daycare and will be giong to kindergarden in August 2006 at the Santa Rita school in Los Altos. I had a great trip to China this year, and you'll see pictures below.
First, spring would not be spring without a Purim party:
I've also participated in local theater performances:
and basically hanging out with Kasper
But let's talk about China... In April I took my brother and parents to Beijing. Since my dad doesn't know Chinese, I had to explain lots of things to him during the trip, but he was well behaved.
There are lots of people in China, and they all fall into two caterogies: either auntie or uncle. Once you figure that out, life is very simple.
So this is Mimi, my godmother (who came to visit us in Los Altos)
This is a special auntie (Li Pei):
This is a very special uncle:
This is uncle Teddy and his wife. The interesting thing about him is that he's actually my uncle (mommy's brother).
The other thing they have a lot of in China is good food. Here are a few pictures, but I think you get the gist...
They even have cakes! Especially if you make it very clear that you want one.
And how did my dad survive? I just took him to Starbucks...
Every now and then my brother and I got goofy and looked for interesting seating arrangements:
My dad also got goofy in China. Here he's trying to look important
And here he's receiving an official Beijing 2008 Olympics tie!
Here my parents are with a very special auntie, who heads a very important foundation in China.
I got private drawing lessons in China
So make sure you look for this signature next time you're visiting an art gallery!
I got to hang out at the malls a bit in China too!
and try out a bunch of stuff...
I also saw lots of Buddhas with my popo
and spent other special moments with her
and of course, with my mom!
Here we're part of a Mongolian-style ceremony
and here we're being treated as VIPs! Seriously!
And of course, we spent quite a bit of time entertaining the many relatives that wanted to see me and my brother (my parents are "old news", if you know what I mean...)
