Abstract: We have developed Strudel, a system for building and managing complex web sites. The key idea in the design of strudel is the separation between (1) the management of the data being presented at a web site (2) the definition of the structure of a web site (i.e., the pages and links between them) and (3) the graphical presentation of the information in a web site. Separating these three aspects provides a powerful tool for building complex web sites and easily modifying them. One of the important advantages of Strudel is the ability to build multiple versions of a web site.
