a Sonnet

A sonnet has twelve lines
and then a couplet,
you read it sipping wine,
and eating crumpets.

The structure's so perfect
so set
ten beats per line
five long, five short, that's that!

It rhymes as if it were a fool from England
that Shakespeare used to show wisdom.
It talks of love, and mere perfection
and never ever of devil's reflection

A sonnet's perfect, so graceful
but I prefer my freedom, con queso.
