Teaching

I was the instructor for UW's Summer Challenge in 2011. This is a 3-week summer camp for gifted middle school students where I taught "Computer Science: Learn to Scratch!", an exciting introduction into computer science!

In the Winter '10 semester I taught CSE 417, algorithms and complexity for non-majors.

In addition, I do private tutoring in mathematics and computer science for all ages and levels. I have experience teaching and tutoring everything from kindergarten to graduate level classes. Please send me an email for more information.

Service

I helped run the middle school math olympiad club for Catharine Blaine Middle School in 2008. If you have any interest (in helping with a current club, or getting one started), please send me an email - I would be happy to help in any way possible!

I worked at the Summer Institute in Mathematics at the University of Washington during the summers of 2006 and 2007. This is a great program, and would encourage all high school students interested in mathematics to apply.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
