I am currently on leave from the PhD program in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Washington. I have worked there with professors Steve Gribble, Brian Bershad and others. Before UW, I co-founded a web search engine company called Inktomi based on my graduate research at the University of California, Berkeley where I worked with professor Eric Brewer. I received a BS in Computer Science from Dalhousie University, and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Washington. While on leave, I am a working at Diddit, a social media startup and residing in San Francisco, California.

Research

My research background is in large scale internet systems, encompassing:

  • Scalable Internet services.
  • Web search engines.
  • Semantic analysis of web sourced data sets.
