The day before, we went to the Mammoth Hot Springs, where we were told we could bathe in the naturally warm water. As it turns out, many areas of the stream are boiling, and, while certain areas are usually open (with signs warning of the 14 deaths that have occured in the last 25 years), they've been closed all summer due to shifting ground and new steam vents that recently opened. Ah well, it was very pretty!
