NOTE: Kriss is pre-pre-alpha software. It is a toy that I hack around with when I need a break from staring at typing rules. It's got a completely bare-bones user interface and is held together with rubber bands and glue. In fact, I am building this software to throw away: someday I am going pull Kriss apart into a library called libfeed and an application called KNewsFeed, and Kriss shall be no more.
If you want a KDE feed reader with a more polished end-user experience, I suggest you try aKregator (kde-apps.org page), which has become the "official" KDE RSS reader. (Well, actually, I haven't tried it, but I assume it's better.)
However, in any case, Kriss does support RSS 0.90, 1.0, 0.91/0.92/2.0, and Atom drafts 0.3 and (partially) 11. It even handles Xanga feeds, even though they are broken. It has an embedded web browser, but honors the "middle click to open in separate browser" convention. Someday I'm going to write up some interesting things I learned while writing this app, but for the moment you may enjoy the following screen shot instead:
