Update: I defended my thesis in November 2007
and finished my Ph.D. in January 2008.
I now live in San Francisco and work at
Adobe Systems in the Creative Technologies Lab. Dissertation: Interaction Techniques for Automating Collecting and Organizing Web Content I was a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. My research interests lie in computer graphics and human-computer interaction. In my thesis work I developed interaction techniques for accessing, collecting, and sharing Web content more easily. My advisors were David Salesin and Michael Cohen and I also collaborated closely with Steven Drucker. I have many research interests and have worked on a variety of projects. I have explored research projects in character animation, image compositing, and visualization. I have also had many opportunities to teach. In addition to holding a number of teaching assistant positions, I also taught "Women, Computing, and Collaborating" for the 2004-2005 academic year. We designed this class with the hope of encouraging more women to study computer science. |
