Hi! I am a graduate student at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. My research over the past several years has focused on analyzing the behavior of real wireless networks and designing protocols for multi-hop networks. I am currently analyzing the effects of factors such as network density and traffic, spatial reuse, power control, and the number of radios and channels on the performance benefits of multi-hop communication in wireless networks, with the goal of simplifying configuration and management of these networks. Prior to joining the networking group, I worked on data management for peer-to-peer and pervasive computing environments. I spent a year at Intel Research Seattle developing an architecture for data management and disconnected operation tailored to the requirements of ubiquitous computing applications.
