Hi there ! My job search is finally over. I am moving as an Assistant Professor to the Computer Science department at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, next Fall.

Background

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow working with Eric Siggia at the Rockefeller University.
I did my Ph.D. (2002) in Computer Science & Engg. at the Univ. of Washington, under Martin Tompa.

Research

I work on problems in Computational Biology. My main interest is in design of algorithms for analysis of DNA sequences. Some sub-topics include

Cross-species comparison of regulatory sequences.
Detection of regulatory modules.
Motif finding.
Molecular evolution of regulatory elements.
