Sunset on Itswoot Ridge

Glacier Peak Wilderness, Washington
July 1989

On the night after climbing majestic Dome Peak, I caught the sunset on our campsite just as the misty clouds rolled over the ridge. The fog was luminous, almost incandescent, creating a sunset I'll never forget.
