Will Portnoy is a Principal SDE within FUSE Labs in Microsoft Research. Previously, Will was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley in the Global Proprietary Credit Group and a Technology Strategist at GoldenTree Asset Management where he was responsible for setting technology strategy for the CDO and ABS trading desks. Before joining the finance industry, Will worked in the User Interface Strategy group within Microsoft Research and the Microsoft Windows team while concurrently earning a Ph.D. in computer science with a minor in computational finance at the University of Washington. Will graduated with distinction with a bachelor of science in engineering degree from Duke University with majors in biomedical engineering and computer science. Will lives in Woodinville with his two children and wife but has family in Naples, FL and Brooklyn, NY. In his free time, Will enjoys physics and graphics simulation programming.
