In theory, there is a version of SMOK that requires only ANSI/ISO C++, and so is totally portable. The usability of such a non-graphical interface is an open question that no one seems to be asking, however.
The only existing graphical interface for SMOK runs on Windows. The particulars are:
- OS: Windows
Which ones? Well, it has been developed and tested on Win2K SP2 and WinXP SP1. It should, in theory, run on any version of Windows. (The hangup is DLL's, of course. A separate file of required DLL's is available from the downloads page.)- Processor: x86
The faster the better.- RAM:
Very modest requirements (under 6MB for most models).- Disk
Under 2MB.
SMOK has been implemented to make porting to new systems so easy it almost ports itself. If you're interested in doing that, get in touch.
