Special Computing Resources
for Undergraduate and Non-CSE-Student
Teaching Assistants

A special area in Sieg 127 is set aside for the use of undergraduate TAs and others TAing CSE courses who need a place to work on TA-related tasks which are can't be accomplished in an open lab environment.  This area provides access to several computers, a color printer, as well as privacy for TA tasks such as preparation and grading of homework assignments and tests.  This area is NOT to be used for consulting with students in your class.

The following resources are located in the TA area of Sieg 127:

  • vole  - a Linux machine.  Besides providing Unix cycles for TA-related tasks, this host provides two important things which are otherwise unavailable outside the CSE research network:
  • Maricopa - an NT machine.
  • psc1es - a color printer useful for preparing transparencies for class lectures.

If you do not have access to Sieg 127, please go to Sieg 128 and ask for a TA key to that lab.

If your account is not available, or you have any problems using the TA Lab, send mail to support@cs.
