Printing Tutorial

This tutorial will walk you through how to print documents from Active-HDL to the printer in 003.
On the printer in 003E, we will show you how to set the page size in
 Active-HDL to tabloid (11 by 17).
1.  Printing to letter size paper from Active-HDL

Printing to letter size paper from Active-HDL:

  1. Open the document you wish to print in Active HDL.
  2. Select File-->Print.
  3. Under Printer Name, choose ps003.

  4. Click Properties.

  5. Under the layout tab, click Advanced.
  6. Under Paper Size, select Letter.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Under the Paper/Quality tab, set Paper Source: Automatically Select.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Now, click OK and print!

Printing to tabloid size paper from Active-HDL

  1. If you have already set the page size in Active-HDL to tabloid, continue with these instructions. Otherwise, go to Setting page size to tabloid in Active-HDL.
  2. Open the document you wish to print in Active HDL.
  3. Select File-->Print.
  4. Under Printer Name, choose the printer in 003E by name.

  5. Click Properties.
  6. Under the layout tab, click Advanced.
  7. Under Paper Size, select Tabloid.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Under the Paper/Quality tab, set Paper Source: Automatically Select.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Now, click OK and print!

Setting page size to tabloid in Active-HDL

  1. Open Active-HDL.
  2. Click File-->Page Setup.
  3. In the page size tab, set Size to Tabloid.
  4. Select either Portrait or Landscape.
  5. Click OK..
  6. If you are ready to print a design, go to Printing to tabloid size paper from Active-HDL.  Otherwise, you're done!
