General

• CSE computing facilities - an overview
• Wireless networking in the Allen Center (and surrounding area).
• Printing in CSE. The large color printer can be used to produce poster-size prints (up to 36'' wide and arbitrarily long).

Instructional

• Instructional laboratories in CSE, including available hardware and software resources.
• Undergrad computing resources in CSE, including ways to get help and resolve problems related to the use of the laboratories.
• Instructional accounts and lab access
• Undergrad Research Lab - where undergrads can pursue research that cannot be supported in the instructional labs.

Special

• Video conferencing – We have IP-based h.323 video conferencing available using an integrated system in CSE 303, and a semi-portable system on a wheeled cart. Upon request we can support conferences using other group conferencing systems such as ConferenceXP and Access Grid.
• Lecture capture - video/audio capture using any laptop! A UW-wide system for classes.
• Audio capture - some rooms have been configured to automatically create multimedia recordings of your meeting or event, scheduled through the room reservation system.
• Equipment available for loan to qualified individuals
• Digital whiteboards and Digtal coffee tables – SMART Boards and Microsoft Surface computers for CSE students, for collaborative use and development. Access to these devices is also availalbe for all UW students.
• Multimedia PCs provide special facilities for manipulating video, image and audio files. Three are located in the general Instructional Labs, and two are available for research/staff use in CSE 280.
