You may be wondering what to do in section. Discussion/quiz sections are intended to reinforce material covered in the lectures, to be interactive, and to provide practical information on how to succeed in the course. Usually this time is devoted to reviewing more difficult parts of the lecture material, and discussion of homework assignments. You may be expected to provide alternate or in-depth explanations of material covered in lecture.
Discuss the content of quiz sections with the professor in charge of the course. You may review the material taught in lecture, cover material that there is not time to discuss in lecture, focus on difficult ideas, work problems, or help students with programming assignments. Unless otherwise directed by the instructor, you generally will not have the opportunity to teach advanced or supporting material; the lecture/book material is already more than most students can handle.
