CSE follows the attendance policy established by the College of Engineering, with one addition and exception.
When requesting time off in advance use the leave/overtime request/report form to request and report leave. Follow the COE advance notice policy for requesting leave and complete the top part of the form.
Within 24 hours of return from leave, complete the bottom part of the leave/overtime request/report form and obtain your supervisor’s signature. If you complete a weekly time sheet, attach this form to the back of your time sheet. If you are not required to complete weekly time sheets, give the signed form to Nicole Harvard.
Reporting Unscheduled Absences. COE policy refers only to calling your supervisor. The CSE policy is:
If you are sick and cannot come to work, prior to your work shift send email to your supervisor and faculty/staff that are impacted by your absence. You must report in at the beginning of any sick leave period and daily thereafter, unless pre-arranged.
If you are unable to send email and you reach your supervisor’s voicemail, leave a message that includes a telephone number where you can be reached. Then contact one other person and ask this person to send email to your supervisor and faculty/staff that are impacted by your absence.
At the supervisor’s discretion, if you are absent from your job for three (3) consecutive days, you may be required to submit documentation from your health care provider.
Within 24 hours of return from leave, complete the bottom part of the leave/overtime request/report form and obtain your supervisor’s signature. If you complete a weekly timesheet, attach this form to the back of your timesheet. If you are not required to complete weekly timesheets, give the signed form to Nicole Harvard.
