Brian's First Trip To Singapore

Brian Grant

My wife Charmaine and I recently returned from my first trip to Singapore, actually my first trip overseas. It was my first opportunity to experience another culture firsthand. It was also my first time meeting Charmaine's family. Before the trip I had briefly spoken to Charmaine's oldest sister, Corinne, on the phone and I had met another of her sisters, Veronica, when she visited us in December 1994.

Despite a few problems, I had a great time in Singapore. I got along very well with Charmaine's family, especially the kids and Douglas, one of Charmaine's brothers. Charmaine's parents and her brother Kelvin generously paid for the whole trip. Of course, I'm leaving out most of the juicy stuff. I will add some more details to the text as time, my memory, and my wife permit. I may also add some more photos from our wedding album and the dozen rolls of film we used. The photos I took aren't even close to professional quality.
