UW CSE's Education & Technology group is interested in methods and tools for teaching computer science and applications of computing to education in general. We have two main meetings each week: the 591E research seminar (linked at left), where we discuss published research, and an informal group meeting, where we quietly scheme about revolutionizing the way UW the world teaches computer science (and other fields). We also organize 590E, a CS education seminar focusing on the methods and tools of teaching, rather than primary research.

Group Wikis

We currently maintain two wikis, distinguished by their access restrictions.

  • CSE-only wiki (served by host dada)
  • public wiki (served by host cubist): To log in, use "edtech" for both user name and password. This annoyance is the small price we pay to discourage wiki vandalism.

Group Mailing List

The mailing list archives are now in the group-only section of our web.

Group-Only Resources

These resources include the group's private wiki, which is only accessible to users with CSE accounts. We are in the process of setting up a public wiki for group-related content intended for public access. Please ask Ken for details.
