ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center),
"...an educational database. less research oriented
but education focused; has a lot of its references (though not all)
online; tends to be difficult to coax into giving results valuable
for college education, but specific queries (e.g., 'classroom
communication system') can give good results."

How People Learn: Bridging Research and Practice
(1999)
"This is a supplement to How People Learn focused
on bringing research into the classroom. I've only read the intro, but
that was valuable. I suspect the rest of the book will be more
valuable to us as researchers and practitioners interested in
'bridging the gap' between the two as they describe, rather than as a
research resource. Another use for this book is as a prima
facie 'justification' for research. There is a tendency to demand
an outcomes-based approach in educational research (e.g., Ed
Neal's article); however, at some point, a researcher might want
to accept previous results as compelling evidence of the need for some
factor (rather than some outcome) in the classroom, with the assumption
that the factor will lead to a valuable outcome. The action items that
this text proposes are one authority to appeal to for that kind of
work."
