There a number of computers and HW platforms in the 505 research lab.

Rapid prototyping on the XUPV2P Development Board

We are currently using the Xilinx Virtex-II Pro Development System (XUPV2P) as prototyping platform. To facilitate development, we are running linux on the embedded PowerPC. Here is a overview of what we did.
