Color XFORM is the METIP project's most sophisticated educational image processing package. It is now available for both Windows PCs (Windows 95 and Windows NT) and Macintosh computers.

Here are some of its characteristics:

  • extends METIP's Transform Programmer into the realm of color.
  • provides direct manipulation of the Red, Green, and Blue color component values using the Color Pixel Calculator.
  • provides programmatic interface using Lisp.
  • available in both Macintosh and Windows versions.
  • choice of palette management methods.
  • robust memory management means more reliable operation than in previous METIP releases.
  • Macintosh version features single-app integration of Lisp and the image processing code, plus it includes an advanced "Scientific Color Pixel Calculator" with 2-D mathematics formula editor.
  • free for educational purposes.
